Paper Plate Suns

Popsicle Stick Picture Frames

Materials:

  • Paper plate
  • Yellow & orange paint or crayons
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Directions:

Color the plate yellow. Cut triangles from orange paper and glue around the edges for sun rays. Add a smiley face or sunglasses!

Materials:

  • 4 popsicle sticks per frame
  • Glue
  • Markers/stickers
  • Photo or drawing
  • Ribbon or magnet (optional)

Directions:

Glue sticks into a square. Decorate and glue a photo or drawing behind it. Add ribbon or magnet to hang.

  • Red, orange, yellow construction paper
  • Brown paper (for logs)
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors

Directions:

Trace and cut out handprints (fire). Cut strips of brown paper as logs. Glue together into a cozy campfire scene.

Watermelon Fan

  • Paper plate
  • Red, green, black markers or paint
  • Popsicle stick
  • Glue

Directions:

Cut the plate in half. Color it like a watermelon. Glue a popsicle stick to the bottom to create a summer fan.

Ocean in a Bottle

Sponge Water Bombs

Materials:

  • Clear plastic bottle with lid
  • Water
  • Baby oil
  • Blue food coloring
  • Glitter, small plastic sea animals (optional)

Directions:

Fill bottle β…“ with water + food coloring + glitter. Add sea toys if desired. Top off with oil. Seal lid tight and shake!

Directions:

Cut sponges into strips. Stack 6–8 strips and tie tightly in the center. Fluff into a ball. Soak and toss outdoors!
